I bought the original battery-operated Musicians Ear Plugs when they first came out several years ago and one bud recently died. So I upgraded to the rechargeable version. Love the recharging feature, hate the eartips that came with it. I then bought some replacement eartips because they are described as "frost" colored like the original excellent ones from years ago. They are not frost colored but it's not the color I care about. The material is inferior-- some kind of clear, flimsy silicone and the fit is different. They are smaller and do not provide a good seal, just like the awful ones that came with the unit. I'm sure the large size will be too big and these are too small. So what the heck? Why does every company nowadays have to cheapen everything? Is it not enough that I paid $400 for the earplugs? I did not expect Etymotic, whom I came to trust, to take quality away from their product.
