Description

Experience the pinnacle of hearing protection and clarity with the ER20XS Triple Flange Earplugs. Engineered with three points of contact, these earplugs form an exceptional seal in the ear canal, delivering superior noise reduction and sound fidelity compared to single dome silicone tips. The ER20XS earplugs boast a low-profile, stem-less design that fits snugly in the outer ear without protruding, making them discreet and ideal for use under hats, helmets, and other headgear. The ergonomic triple flange tips ensure a secure, comfortable fit for extended wear, while the small, flexible pull tab allows for easy removal. They also come with an easy-to-install neck cord and a convenient carrying case. Performance-wise, the ER20XS matches Etymotic’s high-fidelity ER20 developed for musicians. With identical response through 4 kHz and enhanced high-frequency clarity above 4 kHz, these earplugs preserve the richness of music and clarity of speech—just quieter—with a 20-dB equal sound reduction across the spectrum of hearing. BENEFITS
  • Reduces risk of hearing damage for many noisy occupations as well as noisy venues, such as airshows, parades, athletic events and motor sports.
  • Enhances the music experience for audiences while protecting hearing.
  • Allows musicians to hear their own instrument and their blend with others.
CHOOSING YOUR SIZE All ears are different. It is impossible to predict the size of an ear canal by the appearance of the outer ear, or by a person’s physical size, age or gender. Two sizes of ER20 Plugs fit almost 100% of ear canals. Recent studies of both fit and seal, conducted at Etymotic Research and an independent lab, showed that the smaller of the two sizes fits the majority of ears and is now designated as standard fit. ADJUSTING TO ETYMOTIC EARPLUGS  A little time may be required to acclimate to these earplugs. Many musicians report that they hear their own instruments better, as well as the balance with those around them. Insert the plug by grasping the end cap and inserting the eartip until the largest flange is sealed in the ear canal entrance. To ease insertion, moisten the plug and pull the ear outward and upward. Earplugs must be inserted correctly for optimal effectiveness. To remove, use a slow twisting motion. WHEN TO REPLACE  ER20 Plugs are reusable, but with repeated use, the eartips may lose elasticity. For best performance and retention, if you use your constantly, replace them every 3-6 months.

CLEANING

  • Do not take earplugs apart.
  • Clean after each use.
  • Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed.
  • Do not immerse earplugs in water.
  • Do not clean with harsh chemicals.
  • Alcohol is not recommended.

Great for Concerts – Sound is Amazing
The absolute best thing about these Earplugs is that everything still sounds the same, just at lower volume. I had started wearing hearing protection at concerts, I love live music, but the foam plugs always affected the sound. I would always find myself taking the plugs out after adjustments failed to improve the quality of sound and would always end up with familiar ringing in my ears, or I’d feel like I didn’t get the full experience due to the muffling.

These Etymotic Earplugs have been a gamechanger. The music sounds the way its supposed to without any of the side effects after the fact. That and they are super discreet, and portable, so I don’t have to deal with larger overhead protection.

I absolutely recommend these plugs (I bought the 20Xs) to anyone who enjoys live music, especially at small venues, and would suggest you buy before you think you need them.

    Fantastic product!!!

  2. Gregory (verified owner)

    Excellent product
Have been using these at concerts for years. Gave a pair to my wife and now she’s a fan as well – and also uses them at the movies and on the train. The earplugs are great because they don’t muffle the sound and actually seem to clarify it.

  3. Kelly (verified owner)

    Work great for concerts
Got these to use for a concert. We were impressed with them as they blocked out the dangerously loud noise and made the music sound clearer. Bought another 4 sets for our kids. So far, I’ve seen Tool, Santana, Korn, and System of a Down using these earplugs and I didn’t leave any of the shows with ringing ears. Highly recommend.

  4. Natalie (verified owner)

Bought them for an electronic music show and they did not disappoint
Went to a club that was hosting one of my favorite djs. The room was super tiny but they had their systems nearly max volume. The plugs just made everything quieter, but not muffled. I took them out just to see if they were doing anything and the difference in loudness was so painful, so I knew they were doing their job. I def keep them on me at all times now and feel more confident attending more shows.

  5. Marc Boxerman (verified owner)

    Work very well
These work as described. They effectively attenuate sound while preserving musical dynamics. I wear them at all rock concerts I attend.

  6. John Hatt (verified owner)

    Improved
This version is even better than the previous earplugs I purchased from Etymotic.

  7. Marc DeHart (verified owner)

    ER20XS
Use these earplugs while riding motorcycle. The road noise is almost completely gone which allows music to be understood and heard a lot better

  8. Wellesley Lee (verified owner)

    Great earplugs
Earplugs fit well and are consistent in their comfort. I love wearing these to movies, concerts, and bars. A good investment that’s durable and reliable.

  9. Alex B (verified owner)

    Great Ear Plug for Musicians
This earplug mutes just enough sound level without sacrificing the sound details that musicians need. Great for use in enclosed areas to filter out echo, or while standing in front of a loud monitor. The size customization allows for a more comfortable fit than the original plugs.

  10. Greg (verified owner)

Good Cost Effective Option to Noise Cancelling Headphones
I wanted a means to reduce ambient noise. Noise cancelling headphones seemed like overkill, so I purchased these earplugs to try out first. I am quite happy with the results.

  11. Mark Abbott (verified owner)

Very good but more attenuation required
I find that these plugs work very well, but I wished they offered plugs with great attenuation. 30dB to 40dB would be great. Reasonable volumes sets my tinnitus off thus the need for further attenuation at music venues is required.

    Welding shop
Working a small welding shop. They cancel the loud noises enough but allow the speech to still be heard clearly.

    Small, Affordable, Comfortable and Effective
I just bought several more pairs of these so that I can have a pair stashed just about everywhere, e.g., my car, my briefcase, my golf bag, my double bass bag, jacket pockets, etc. Having owned ER products since my first pair of custom Musician Plugs purchased probably 25 years ago, I’ve been impressed with the company and its products. Even though I’ve worked extensively as a bassist, I can still hear 16Khz at aged 73 which is a tribute to the quality of the products and the ever-increasing need to use hearing protection. Movies, airplanes, restaurants, clubs, etc. are all too loud and it pains me to see the number of people, particularly young people, doing permanent, irreversible damage to their ears out of total ignorance. These plugs would serve these people well since the sound is so natural and unmuffled.

    Need more time
these work very good but they hurt my ears. Maybe I need more time to get used to them

  15. ScSing (verified owner)

    Significant noise suppression.
Today, rode my PanAmerica all morning with my Motorsport etymotic’s. After a break when I drove off w/o the ear plugs I was shocked how much louder the bike was.

  16. Phil Wagner (verified owner)

    Love them
Had a set for years and lost one at a concert. They work and feel great. If there were a better set to buy I would.

  17. Manuel Garcia (verified owner)

    Awesome Product
I went to a concert to listen to music for straight 5 hours in a indoors venue and next morning my right ear couldn’t hear bass… From there I learned you never know when you can damage your ear badly… my ears healed back a bit but then I knew I needed to get some earplugs. I bought these through a doctor recommendation and these are literally amazing. I love festivals and music, and having earplugs was a game changer. The next one I went to, these held for 7 hours no issue, next morning my ears felt like I hadn’t gone to a concert at all. Amazing!

  18. Christina Winnie (verified owner)

    INCREDIBLE!!
These are the best investment I have made on my ears! I used these at the recent Motley Crue stadium tour and these prevent post-concert hearing loss/ringing. The music was still perfectly clear. For one moment when I thought it was still pretty loud, I slightly removed one of the plugs and I realized it was keeping the volumes wayyyy lower than I had assumed. These were such a great purchase I am so satisfied! The plugs take a bit getting used to but perhaps a smaller size than the universal would have suited my ears better.

  19. David Yates (verified owner)

Great hearing protection for musicians and music fans
I’ve been a big fan of this design for a while now. I just bought 2 more sets so I could have one in my instrument case and another handy.
Don’t leave home with out them!

  20. Brian Henry (verified owner)

    Great Quality Product
Went to a music festival and wore these. Could still hear the music clearly without distortion from outside noises.

  21. Robert Souza (verified owner)

    Great Ear Plugs
I just tried my new ear plugs yesterday at a music job and they worked great. Very comfortable and really kept the sound level down.

  22. David Barker (verified owner)

    Great!
I can hear well enough to get an accurate picture of what’s happening sonically without high frequencies or SPL’s overloading my ears, great.

  23. Lisa Houlihan (verified owner)

    Second time
The plugs themselves don’t stay on their lanyard very well, which is why I had to buy this current pair, but I do love that I can go to a concert without losing either quality of the sound or my hearing.

  24. Mark Ginsberg (verified owner)

    13Db not 20Db, as advertised
Just got them in the mail and the box says 13Db NRR, which is not the 20db advertised. I will try them, but was hoping for 20 not 13.

  25. Thomas Ruan (verified owner)

    These work so well
I love my Etys and always wear them to shows

  26. Neal Chauhan (verified owner)

Yup. These are the ones you want for concerts.
I’ve been wearing these for about three years to every festival, rave, or concert, and I couldn’t do without them. Pushed in all the way they do a great job at letting sound come through without your ears ringing, but pulled out juuuust a little, you can dial in the amount of noise you want. Absolute lifesavers- and they don’t come out at all even if the tip is moistened a tiny bit.

  27. Ron Graham (verified owner)

    Superior product
Love the product, wouldn’t function without them.

  28. Phil Bondi (verified owner)

    Great product
I wear these for work. I am a piano technician and will not tune or work around pianos without them. I’ve been using this product exclusively for 12 years.

Love these ear plugs for concerts and movies
I have been using ear plugs from Etymotic for about 20 years now. I always bring them to movies, concerts, clubs, and large gatherings like weddings. If the band is too loud or the movie is ridiculously loud, i pop in the ear plugs and can enjoy the experience with good sound quality, i can still hold conversations, and no discomfort! When i replace old plugs, i always buy some extra for gifts, as many of my friends have had the same experience of going to an event and being uncomfortable with the volume. When they try out the plugs, they are amazed at how well they work. A suggestion I got from a non profit many years ago: before going into the venue, turn your car radio to a talk channel and turn the volume down to where you can just barely hear it. Then after attending the show, come back to the car and you will notice that you cannot hear the talk channel (if the show was really loud). This is temporary hearing loss that can become permanent over repeated exposure. I never go out without them!

  30. Galaxy (verified owner)

    Excellent Product
I have autism, and I can get pretty agitated from certain sound environments. These earplugs turn down the volume enough to keep me feeling relaxed in most situations. I wear them in rooms where the acoustics are too echoey, at restaurants, festivals, movies, big box stores, etc. Only very rarely is the environment loud enough for me to wear them but people are talking quietly enough that I can’t hear them well. I’ve had them for over a year, and that’s only happened once.

  31. Nathan Scalise (verified owner)

Trust me I’m a doctor of music
I first got a set of these at a rock concert in 2015. I compose and play trombone, drum set, piano, and bass guitar. I found myself starting to get a crackling in my ears after too much exposure to music got too high or too loud, so I started wearing these for most of my piano teaching, accompanying, practicing, and concert-going. These earplugs are an absolute lifesaver, they just take the harshness off the sound without distorting it – the pitches and timbres are clear, and the overall volume is only a hair quieter, so I don’t lose the true pianissimo moments. If I wear them, there’s no crackling, and my ears don’t ring as much at the end of the day. I wish I’d started wearing them sooner, and after nearly losing mine at a rehearsal, I bought several backup pairs.

Musicians, protect your ears and thank me later.

    Great for motorcycles !
Excellent products! I’ve had Etymotoc ear phones for many years. Outstanding quality.

These weee bought for motorcycle riding. Wind and road noise is very distracting. These are very effective filtering out that noise, while allowing other sounds to be heard (car horns).

Makes riding with an open face helmet much more pleasant.

  34. Christy Gutridge (verified owner)

    Hands down the best!
Wore these to an all day concert event, they were amazing. I could still enjoy the concert and hear everything, the noise filtering was amazing!

Cut Damaging Sound During Shooting – Firearm Testing
I have profound hearing loss in my right ear that occurred previous to my current job. My job entails manufacturing and testing of firearms. In the next two weeks I will be doing test and evaluation on firearms and my team will be shooting 36,000 rounds with my being present at the range. In a work environment I need to hear voices so we can communicate, but I need to protect the hearing I still have. I would not use these alone for shooting firearms, however I use these as a double protection effort. I wear these in my ear with an added active shooting ear protection (cuff style) over my ears. This further protects me, however the Etymotic allows me to be able to hear voices from my active hearing protection. Also, while shooting full auto machine guns, the actives sometimes are not responsive enough to cut out follow on shots. It’s nice to have something extra as a backup. So far they have worked well. My only other comment would be that they do get uncomfortable after an hour for me. Since this product is inexpensive I have no expectation of a custom fit and everyone’s ear is different, so I just make do with it.

    Save My Hearing
The ER20XS Plugs have been a big help in keeping my hearing from further degenerating. I waited too long to prevent damage but since using the ER20XS product my hearing has not gotten any worse. Wish I had started wearing them earlier! jack

  37. Katelyn Hayes (verified owner)

These are MAGIC! No ear ringing!
So much better than standard foam earplugs. I could wear them comfortably for an entire rock concert and the sound was just as described – not muffled or distorted, just quieter. I left the concert and it was amazing, no ear ringing or headache, and I could immediately talk at a normal volume! Will definitely be taking these to all shows from now on!

  38. J Davis (verified owner)

    Probably very good?
I wear these earplugs to preserve my hearing as long as possible. I play a brass instrument and have hearing loss from many years of music, including sitting in front of other brass instruments. Prescription musicians’ earplugs have not worked for me, taking much too long to fit into ears. I started using a previous version of these earplugs many years ago, because I could get them to seal properly, hear enough to enjoy music, and remove them quickly to hear /participate in conversation. Have not yet used these newer versions but expect them to fit in a similar manner, and I expect them to work in a similar way. The website does need to be more up to date and I have yet to receive a response to a question I posed to customer service via the website.

  39. Phil Kahn (verified owner)

    Dissapointed
I have used these and the older model they used to sell for about 8 years. I used to buy them directly at the company as I live 10 miles away. Now they will not sell them for direct pickup, and they dont answer their phones. These new ear plugs barely reduce the volume when listening to live music. They are totally unsatisfactory. Immediately when I examined them, I became concerned as I noticed the flanges were now much thinner looking. I feel ripped off by my purchase. I ordered 4 sets of plugs and an extra bag of replacement flanges. The replacement flanges match the lower grade of the ones on the new ear plugs. They are now made in China too. The old product worked very well.

Eagles Concert January 6, 2024 Kia Forum Los Angeles, CA
Your Etymotic ER20XS | High Fidelity Earplugs saved our ears! My wife and I do not go to rock concerts often. But she loves The Eagles as do I. We saw them in Vegas in 2023 at The MGM Grand. Sound levels were very survivable. However, when she said they were going to be at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles January 6 2024 I knew I had to take high SPL precautions. Totally different shape of a venue (former sports arena) with a reputation for LOUD. I’m glad I chose Etymotic ER20XS | High Fidelity Earplugs. I did not think we would need 20 dB (1,000 times!) SPL reduction but we sure did! I am a lifelong Audiophile – I value my hearing. I use Studio Six Digital’s excellent SPL Pro IPhone app for system set up and verification. The Eagles had SPL Pro logged at 107.6 dB (!) when the MEMS microphone in my IPhone 14 Pro Max overloaded. Who knows how loud it got after that??
If I had not had an SPL app on my phone with the Etymotic ER20XS | High Fidelity Earplugs in our ears we would never had known how loud it was! We enjoyed an impressive but very comfortable sound level the entire concert. When we left the concert we both remarked how “normal” and balanced the music sounded and how “normal” our ears felt to us. No ringing, no dull pain, nothing but a very loud concert very well enjoyed.
So thanks Etymotic for a great product. Did I mention that my wife and I go to far more Air Shows than rock concerts? FA-18 and F-35 Demo Squadrons flying close by with full afterburners? WE can’t wait to enjoy our Etymotic ER20XS | High Fidelity Earplugs when things get REAL loud!

the earplugs are great but the case they come in is very cheap and prone to break in your pocket.

    Bad Shipping
Do not waste money overnight shipping. Plan ahead and order ahead at least a week before you need them. Took 3 working days and a weekend to finally ship my product. By then my event was over. HOWEVER. The product I received (ER20XS) fits my wide ear canal. 4 stars for a product that actually fits! It goes in further than id like but it seems to work well.

    Perfect for live music
I glad the sound engineer told me about them

  48. Aaron Spack (verified owner)

Technically functional but far from great
Feel like these earplugs are a victim of ‘shrinkflation’– the earplugs themselves are smaller than past models and they don’t feel too comfortable in the ear and frankly made my inner ear a little itchy. The strap to connect them is much more tedious than past styles and the plastic carrying case is cheap. The squishy rubber cases of old are superior. Obviously can’t return these but I don’t think I’m going to be using them again and I’m gonna find an older pair of etymotics.

  49. John (verified owner)

    Way too small
Go for the large size no matter what. Universal and standard size did not seal in my ear, and would push deep and cause pain/discomfort before even sealing. I think i messed up my ears trying to get them to fit.

  50. John (verified owner)

    Works great
I think the sound reduction seems a bit on the low side but otherwise these work great. I use the ER20XS mostly for concerts but they’re also useful anywhere it’s slightly too loud but you still need to be able to hear. They’re very hard to spot in your ears with the pull tabs removed.

  51. Scott Kolbe (verified owner)

    Best earplugs I’ve ever used
I’ve been a customer of Etymotic for over 10 years, during which time I’ve used a version of these earplugs for drowning out snoring, CPAP machines, trains, etc. Also good for concerts. Have purchased 3 replacement sets when lost, they’re that good. Nice to have some extra replacement plugs on hand for the eventuality that twisting will cause the rubber to sever. Would recommend.

  52. Ken (verified owner)

not as good as previous version
bought these to replace an older set that I lost. the new neck cord is too thin – hard to install and won’t coil properly. further, I must have had the “large” size last time. who knew? The new ones seem too small; i’ll probably have to buy another set. frankly, I’m going to look elsewhere.

  53. Linda J LaFianza (verified owner)

    A long-time fan
I’ve used this product for several decades, and I believe it goes a long way towards extending my hearing health. It is a must at rock concerts, and also handy anytime I am stuck near a too-loud public address system. They last for many years, until I accidently misplace them. One added benefit is being able to listen in on conversations around me in noisy environments.

  54. Kathryne DeBlock (verified owner)

    The new tips suck
I have been buying Etymotic earplugs for almost 10 years now and must have a dozen pairs floating around. The new clear tips are much thinner and do not seal as well as the old frost ones. I will be reusing the tips from my older sets with the ones I got this time and looking elsewhere when I need more again. I am very disappointed.

  55. Marisa Newell (verified owner)

    Maybe it’s me
They’re mostly comfortable, but I find them to be itchy in my ears. I cannot wear them for an extended period of time. Not sure if others have had this experience, but I ended up ordering a more expensive pair & saving these as a back-up.

  56. willie acklin (verified owner)

    Mixed bag…
I have larger ear canals often having to wear two boom ear plugs to have them stay in. So I bought these in size large. They do not fit well and take a lot of fiddling to get them to stay in place and provide hearing protection. When all of that works out right they are fantastic however I have to be careful how I move. I contacted support and they told me I should have gotten a size smaller. Ultimately I went and cut the smallest flange off so I could press them in deeper however the large flange is still too flimsy and poorly seals. I ended up buying a set of $5 so-called High facility ear plugs from Amazon that stay in place much better however they do not provide quite as clear sound quality.

Also sucks to wear underneath a motorcycle helmet. It’s really impossible to keep them seated when you put the helmets on and of course you can’t fix it with the helmets on. They work very well when doubled up with over ear protection while shooting in an indoor range.

For what they actually deliver I feel they are overpriced. I do not regret buying them don’t think it’s as long as I take my time to seat them deeply and try not to move suddenly and they work well.

  57. Steven (verified owner)

    Best earplugs.
I have bought multiple pairs and love these earplugs. As a musician and avid concert goer and someone who loves to hear the next day. I have used these through the years. I want to share a few things to extend the use and pass some info. I wash my plugs. I even use a bit of Vaseline I wash them with soapy water and lubricant then. Air dry them When I buy them I first dip them in warm water. And everytime they feel great.

Been wearing them for years, better than the new double flange
They’re great for moderate sound reduction such as concerts and really loud action movies in the theater. You can still talk to people without it sounding muffled. I prefer these triple flange instead of the new double flange, because the triple flange blocks a lot more sound. The most important thing is to make sure you’ve got the right size for your ears. For me, the standard fit just isn’t large enough but the large size fits perfectly.

    Motorcycle hear plugs
These work very well blocks wind and road noise . While letting me listen to music thru my Cardo System . I have tried lots hear plugs and these are the best.

    Does the job
Earplugs function nicely. The large ones fit me better. Overall, the quality of the clear plastic material is very light and comfortable.

I do not like the plastic case that ships with the buds. It is cheaply constructed and it’s difficult to fit the earbud connector cord inside. I would prefer a small drawstring or button back to hold the earbuds.

Overall I am satisfied with the function of the buds, however I think they are too expensive for what you get, and would prefer a bag instead of a mini hard case.

    These set the bar
I’ve used Etymotics for years- earplugs, in-ears, and molded music plugs. These filters are the best for turning down the volume. I keep a set on me at all times. The ER20 are good too. These sound a little more open and natural, but a feel a little less protective. You can’t go wrong with either.
I have big ears, and I’m very grateful that Etymotic is making larger sized tips and plugs. The Triple flange Large are large, alright! They’re long, too, and touch my eardrum. So I trim the tip flange off of the large, thereby making them double-flange, with no discernable difference in function (and a big improvement in comfort).
I prefer the old soft coinpurse type pouch. The hard plastic case is the opposite of an improvement, in my experienced opinion.

I have used several brands of plugs over the years. I literally have a set on me at all times. I’m a professional musician, and need earplugs more often than not. I recommend these when anyone asks. Though there are other good ones out there, Etymotic is the company that developed the tech, compiles the research, and makes the best products at a reasonable price. In America.

    Best ear plugs
Been using these for years, and they are the best earplugs i can find. I use these a lot riding motorcycle and for shooting.

    Adequate Protection?
Plugs fit well in my ears and remained somewhat comfortable for about three hours of concert level noise. I’m not sure they truely reduced decibel levels as advertised. My ears felt like they were over exposed to noise and ear ringing increased after the show. As a result, I don’t have confidence that these plugs actually reduce decibel levels to safe levels. I’ll continue to wear mine to mow the lawn, and look further for a product that I feel is adequately protecting my hearing. I’m glad to read that these plugs are working for others because they are inexpensive and rather comfortable to wear.

    simple but high quality
went to a concert with them and they did their job perfectly, with minimal sound coloring. if it feels uncomfortable at first, try give it a few minutes!

    These are great.
The ER-20XS are great earplugs and they arrived just like I expected. They sound beautifully, and I can adjust the volume of sound in my ear by moving them outward or inward in my ear. They’re nothing like cheap drugstore earplugs, Etymotic has made another step away from those and in the opposite direction: toward best fidelity.

Decent fit. Not so sure about sound clarity
The triple flange design provides a good fit. For me, it seems to work best if I insert them and then just pull them very slighlty back. They do block sound. I am not so sure the sound clarity is true/flat. They seem to just reduce everything. The 13 db reduction is ok. A bit more would be appreciated, understanding that might impact clarity even more. I will probably use these mainly for yard and woodworking – not sure about music.

    does what I hoped for
Going to events with excessively loud bands they bring sound to acceptable level, but voices come through, allowing for conversation, which wasn’t possible with foam earplugs.

    Great for hard rock concerts
These got me through an AC/DC concert last week 50 feet from the stage without pain and with the ability to communicate with others because even while tamping down the amps, conversation with those around me was still possible. We are frequent arena rock-concert-goers so I never leave the house without my Etymotics.

    Much better than other earplugs
The audio experience of these earplugs are way better than others I’ve tried! Other earplugs make me feel like I’m underwater and amplify my own voice/internal sounds. These earplugs don’t do that! I love them

    Great for musicians
These are great for playing brass music and ear training. They’re also great for when you sit in front of the trombone section!

  72. Jack Tompkins (verified owner)

Great for playing music and going to concerts . I can actually hear what myself and others are playing now , unlike when I was using foam earplugs and could only hear bass and cymbals .

This company rules! The product puts performance before all else!
This company rules! The product puts performance before all else, 100% function before form, and the form is pretty rad none the less. Not only is the product incredible, but the team matches that high bar with excellent service taboot! I completely failed at giving the correct shipping address for my nephew’s gifts, but Sarah H. was on top of a solution with a quickness. Mad respect for the acumen this crew operates with, from the science behind the audiophile minded product designs to the earnest efforts to provide the best service, I wish more companies worked with this level of integrity. I will be back, you have made a customer for life. #Etymotic4Lyfe

    Comfortable and effective
I saw 3 concerts last weekend and these worked wonderfully!!! You can still hear everything you need to, the artists voice is crystal clear but excess noise from speakers and the crowd just goes away. I was worried that they would just dampen everything like cheap earplugs would but that was not the case at all. I’m very glad I purchased!

    Reliable Ear Protection for Concerts
I’ve been using the ER20XS for years while going to live concerts, and they’ve never let me down. The sound stays clear while keeping my ears protected every time. I trust these completely, which is why I bought another pair after losing my old one.

    Big Band Rehearsals
I play lead trombone in a big band so I have screaming trumpets behind me pretty regularly in a tight space. The ER20XS provide the perfect balance between cutting out the sudden impact of those dangerous frequencies while still allowing me to hear the information I need to to match pitch and style!

Works great for outdoor music festivals
Used them for an outdoor music festival. Work out great. They reduce db enough to protect my ears but not so much I lost fidelity. They were in my ears for probably 5 hours and never felt uncomfortable. If I had one complaint it is they feel like they should go in deeper but when I do that it hurts a bit. They definitely reduce db when they are deeper, but it doesn’t feel right. I might need a bigger set. I might end up trying the two plug next timeinstead of the three plug I have.

    The earplugs themselves are great!
The earplugs themselves are great but the key chain container contributed to losing them almost immediately, I think. The new container secured by tabs came loose in my pocket, and I think the earplugs fell out when I took my keys out of my pocket.

I bought another pair, got a pinch pocket, have managed to keep them for a couple weeks and a couple metal shows so far!

Uncomfortable fit and painful to my ears after 20 minutes of use
Uncomfortable fit and painful to my ears after 20 minutes of use. They are good for reducing loud noise.

    Metal and hardcore approved
I’ve been to a few loud shows since these arrived and they’re a total game changer. The difference from foam earplugs is night and day, and they stayed in place through a whole night of moshing. The show still sounds loud but it doesn’t make my head hurt and my ears aren’t ringing at all afterwards, and I can actually hear the instruments instead of just a mushy wall of sound. I’ve found that if I take them in and out during the show they tend to wiggle out later and need to be adjusted after a headbanging session, but if I leave them in all night the seal is stronger and I feel them less.

Bought these for a drag racing event
Bought these for a drag racing event, and they allow me to hear what’s happening without compromising on hearing protection. They make my ears a little sore for all-day use, but they are comfortable once in place.
